International Women’s Day

A co-created artwork which formed part of a series of arts activism activities on International Women’s Day.

With approximately 60 minutes for the session, an initial visual background (a woman emerging from a traditional frame) was created in advance, with women having multiple ways to share their messages about change to add depth.

‘Polaroid’ images drawn by women were added to the ‘face’ and beyond; some women created layers of artwork to add to the t-shirt and background; some used speech bubbles as inspiration.

This was a lovely lively day with https://theatreinflow.com which brought together women of a range of ages, backgrounds and experiences in a nurturing space.
