Part of an awarding winning project

The Greater Manchester Homelessness Prevention Strategy won the 2022 Award for Best Practice in Citizen Participation from the International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (IOPD)

The commissioning process can be seen to squeeze and alienate – limiting opportunity to make real change.

The commissioning vision is for an agile, co-produced future which is inclusive, accessible and equitable.

Initially inspired by sketches of medieval catapults and torture equipment, these artworks were hand drawn digitally.

The Power Tree illustrates how individuals with multiple and complex needs are often powerless due to the complexities of systems and services.

The future vision is of a society which recognises the value of lived experience, is equitable and creates opportunities – reframing power hierarchies.

Drawn using ink and water colours to help create a community feel and simplicity to a very complex context.
