Say it with pictures

Carmen most loves finding simple visual ways to share complex ideas. She’s worked freelance for c7years (from a campaigning/ creative industries background) and is such as visual storytelling nerd she’s even done a PhD in it!

Here are some snapshots and if you’d like to learn more head over to the full website with case studies.

Carmen has mainly worked on projects linked to health and wellbeing, including poverty, homelessness, mental ill-health – with organisations such as Crisis, Shelter, Oxford University, StreetSupportNetwork, Institute for Outdoor Learning, Northumbria University, Namibian Cycling Federation, Local Authorities, Pankhurst Trust, Poverty Truth Commission, plus many more…

She’s creating everything from maps – including interactive maps— to illustrations, zines, short animations, step-by-step instructions for coaching and learning, and flow diagrams for change-making, research methods or insights. Always mindful of multi-channel content opportunities.

Underpined by a love of creative adventures.. Carmen enjoys finding new ways to bring stories to life. At the moment she’s a little obsessed with using in5 to export inDesign features to create interactive maps (sharing research insights in an engaging, accessible way). And, combining p5.js generative artwork with After Effects to create little animations.
